About Us

In 1888, Paine Fishburn Monument Company was created in Central City, Neb.  Later, it was moved to Grand Island and changed its name to Desch Paine Monument Company.  The store has been located at its present location since 1998 when it merged with Rock of Ages Memorials based out of Barre, Vt.

As Rock of Ages memorialists, we provide you with knowledge, experience and dedication.  We understand that creating a personal memorial may be unfamiliar, so we offer the personal service and the capabilities of Rock of Ages, America's premier monument company.  We would be glad to visit you in your home, or, if more convenient, welcome you to our studio at Desch Paine Rock of Ages Memorials, 3515 Old Potash Hwy in Grand Island, Neb.  Please feel free to call us anytime.
